Financial Economic Relief – Real or Fake?

With any crisis, the scammers are working hard to get one step ahead. But don’t let a phone call or email from someone posing as a bank or government employee entice you into borrowing money to help relieve financial stresses. Always contact your bank, credit union, mortgage lender and servicers directly. Your bank or the IRS will never contact you for personal information. So don’t give out any sensitive information like your name, address, Social Security Number, or banking information.

With the uncertainty of when you can return to work or being laid off from the coronavirus pandemic, most are suffering financial hardships which include worries of how to pay mortgages, rent and bills.

The good news is that the California Governor Gavin Newsom has proposed mortgage relief for struggling Californians during this crisis, and you may be eligible.
